I am interested in camping and campervans, electronics, journalism, and photography. I use this website to write about projects I have worked on. If you find anything interesting, or want to chat more about a project, please feel free to contact me at my email address below.
Below is a brief summary of my professional background.
I currently work as an Application Engineer in laser metrology for the manufacturer of the GapGun, a non-contact measurement device. My role involves developing new measurement applications for customers in the aerospace, automotive, and wind energy industries, as well as delivering on-site product demonstrations, installation, training, and technical support.
I hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, where I studied robotics, manufacturing, and biomechanics. My final-year project focused on the design and simulation of a dental implant testbed.
I also spent a year studying engineering at Arts et Métiers (École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers) in Aix-en-Provence, including a short research project in the MSMP materials science laboratory. As the course and placement were conducted entirely in French, I developed fluency in the language, including technical engineering vocabulary. I continue to use French regularly through close collaboration with French clients and distributors.
